The cenotaph of Emperor Tang of the Shang Dynasty was built during the Ming Dynasty. Emperor Tang of the Shang Dynasty was the founder of teh dynasty and ruled for 13 years. Bozhou was believed to be burial place of the Emperor.
There are several locations where the Mausoleum of Emperor Tang are found in Cao County in Shangdong Province, Linyao Village of Shanhua Town Yanshi City in Henan Province, Wanrong county in Shanxi Province. Historians believe the actual Mausoleum is in Cao County in Shangdong Province.

Yinxu is the site of the last capital of Shang Dynasty. Among the discovery is the oracle bones and script that is teh earliest form of chinese writing.

China entered its bronze age during this time. Feudal system was used to rule the land. The states eventually became too pwoer and caused the end of western Zhou dynasty.
